The nets don't have an axe swinging right now; they've got a chain saw singing!
On May 12, ABC cancelled "Cashmere Mafia" & "Miss Guided". These were expected, as their viewership had fallen to under
5 million for fresh eps.
On May 13, CBS cancelled "Moonlight", but its last ep in the can will air at its regular time. However, this show might
well move to the CW. they need something, ANYTHING, on CW, REALLY BAD! Right now, "Moonlight" easily outdraws any CW show,
so it couldn't help but boost the CW!
As for the CW, they haven't officially cancelled their recent wave of stupid realish shows that never shoulda aired, but
if some insider reading this would dig a little deeper than we can, perhaps the following may grace Page #: "Pussycat Dolls
Presents, Farmer wants A wife, Crowned, and Beauty & The Geek". Several reporters have said nene of these will return, and
I hope they're right! (Ostroff's stupidest move in several years was dumping "Smackdown", their most-viewed show!
Demographics or not, NO successful businessperson takes his best seller off the market!)
As for ABC: Besides the cancellations listed elsewhere, here are some shows that have apparently been ended:
"pocket veto..."Notes From the Underbelly", which was a piece of garbage that never should have aired. While there are 8
unaired episodes in the can, ABC has no plans to show them. "Oprah's Big Give" - This'n won't be back for the simple
reason Oprah doesn't wanna do it any more. "Just for laughs", a "Candid camera" clone, while not officially cancelled, was
simply not included in ABC's lineup announcement.
While fans of "Back To You" are trying to mount a campaign to save the show, the nets have most likely learned a lesson
from the recent unsuccessful revival of "Jericho", and don't wanna get burned again. They know the furor, if ignored,
will simply fade away, and the fans will simply move on to other shows.
That's all I have for now. I will keep an eye on the other nets, &, GOD WILLING, will bring you the skinny as it
happens. I hope "mastaclocksetta" & others keep up their good work!
Thanks! A few of the ABC shows are not on the schedule - but are waiting as mid-season replacement shows when the new batch get
cancelled...

Did I hear that Oprah’s Big Give was not picked back up?
Oprah get cancelled in any way?!?! I haven't gotten any official word yet.

At the rate it's going, the whole CW net is about to tank. And, long as Dawn Ostroff is in charge of programming, it's
gonna continue to sink. She's just not the right person for the job.
There is so much wrong with The CW, from simple thingls like the ugly green network imaging, to the bad mix of programming...

Are "How I Met Your Mother", "Rules of Engagement", or "Reaper" in any
danger of getting axed? Thanks for all the info, this site is as
awesome as Barney Stinson. Keep up the good work!
"How I Met Your Mother" is doing well enough to be back. "Rules of Engagement" is iffy. It's losing viewers from a great lead-in,
and that's never a good sign. It's chances right now of returning are 50/50 at best. "Reaper" is "on the bubble" - so much so that the
star of the show (Bret Harrison) is trying to rally fans to petition The CW to save the show on his personal website.
![]()
I checked my listings on my TiVo and there are no upcoming showings of Duel, my old youth pastor is supposed to be on this
Friday he said, but it is not listed for the next 2 weeks?
"Duel" was in third place in the ratings race last week again, and that's not a good thing. So far, ABC hasn't said a word about the shows fate though,
so I don't have any info yet.
![]()
Do you know if they canned the game show "Duel"?
No - It airs Friday Nights on ABC.
![]()
Just thought you'd like to add Men in Trees to your list. Also I just found out Lifetimes Army Wives
is set to return mid June!
Thanks for the info / update!
![]()
Heartland on TNT was cancelled.
Thanks - Yup, it only lasted 9 episodes and was officially cancelled in October, 2007.
![]()
That was one of the better shows on TV and I agree with the shows
creator that it was done in by poor time slots and being moved around. Bummer.
![]()
So, I find it very annoying that all of the stations are slowly letting us know what will return!!! Anyway I have run out
of season passes for my DVR so I have to erase some shows do you know if the following will be returning....
Sorry for the long list!!!
Heroes, Life, Dirty Sexy Money, October Road, Lipstick Jungle, and New Amsterdam will all be back this Fall.
Private Practice is on hiatus and ABC will make a decision on that most likely in July when the Fall schedule is released.
Eli Stone is probably coming back for a second season, but not definate yet, Canterbury's Law is on hiautus and it doesn't look too
good for that show (ratings starved), and Army Wives is set to come back at some point, but no date yet.
![]()
Q. Will "Ugly Betty" and "The Apprentice" either regular or celebrity
edition return in the fall with all new episodes especially "Women's
Murder Club?"
"Ugly Betty" is set to return as a regular show and The Apprentice is returning, but not until either January 2009, or as a
mid-season replacement. That means that the Celebrity version will be back as well, but no set date as of yet.

What happened to last week's all new episode of A&E's reality crime
series "The First 48?" is it going to be cancelled too?
And after tonight's season finale of Lifetime's "Your Mama Don't Dance"
it will be going away for the rest of this season but it will return in
the fall right?
I don't know what happened to last weeks "First 48", but it is scheduled for this Sunday at 9PM Eastern time on A&E. "Your
Mama Don't Dance" did well for Lifetime, so even though it hasn't been announced, I would be surprised if it didn't return
in the Fall.

Can you tell me anything about the upcoming seasons of Weeds, Dexter,
Brotherhood, Entourage, Heroes, Life, Pushing Daisies, and Chuck? Like
premiere dates or anything?
Premier Dates for: Weeds - Monday June 16th. "Brotherhood" & "Dexter" return September 30th. "Heroes" an "Pushing Daisies" are
coming back in September, no exact date yet. "Entourage" was supposed to return in June, but has been pushed back to September.
"Life" is set to return Monday, September 1st, and "Chuck" is coming back in the Fall, T.B.D. The writers strike is the reason
for the long delays.

I heard that Scrubs will be back for 18 episodes next season due to the strike. (Yeah!) I don't think they wanted to end
the show under these circumstances, but we'll have to wait and see since its not officially on the fall schedule yet. NBC has said that they are basically done with the show, so it depends if another network will take the show. Comedy Central would be perfect, but I hear that the amount of money that they (Scrubs) are looking for is too much for the first run shows.

Hey there,
Not sure if you've heard but Jericho has been canceled..... again by CBS. Rumor online is they've shot two different
endings but haven't decided which one to air. Personally, I'd like to see if CBS has the balls to air the ending where
the nuclear bomb goes off in downtown Jericho and kills everyone. Talk about a series finale!
Also, do you have any information on Supernatural and when it might be back? This season has been awesome and the last
episode where they fought all the demons off at the police station was outstanding! And the surprise ending with the
little girl was cool too. Can't wait to see the showdown the Winchester boys have with this little demon seed that looks
like Damien's sister.
Thanks and peace out.
On March 3rd, the CW announced that they have ordered a 4th season of "Supernatural", so it will return. The next show is scheduled
for April 24th.

Hi. I am trying to find the name of a tv show that aired in the 1990's. I think in the 1991-1994 range. it was a show
about a family that goes to stay at the grandparents house and they have 3 kids or 4. THe oldest girl gets her first kiss
and throws-up on the guy. it was only on for a season I think if that. I want to say that it was on cbs around the time
Dr. Quinn was on. If know what I am talking about and the name of the show that would be great.

According to Wikipedia, Cavemen was quietly canceled before the strike ended (sometimes it's info. is inaccurate so I'm not

According to Yahoo! TV, the show is "over", so that's a second source. My contact at Variety says that "while ABC hasn't given

Hey have you heard anything abount the series Cane if it will come back or not? Thanks for Checking.
The "official" word from CBS is that Cane is "on hiatus" until after the test run of crossover show "Dexter". No new episodes of Cane have been

NBC has cancelled their show Las Vegas. They attributed the cancellation to a decline in ratings. (Side Note) DUH! NBC anything they throw to Friday nights has a death wish and in my opinion a delibarate way to end a TV show.
Unfortunately the writers strike had a lot to do with some shows getting cancelled. The nets realized that the cheap
unscripted "reality" shows get equal to or better ratings (which equals revenue) than the expensive produced shows like "Las Vegas".
It's like the passing score for a test being moved from a 65 to an 80....

Loox as if the CW has "struck" again!(Pun intended) They've cancelled their long-runnung "Girlfriends".
This show was far from their least-viewed show, especially among their target demo. I'm starting to believe someone
behind the throne wants the CW to fail & close down. With the writers' strike ending, the ole cancellation axe will become
quite busy on the major nets soon!
Yup, I'm expecting things to heat up in TV hell shortly. The nets saw that they can get by on cheap programming during the
WGA strike, and that's not a good thing... ![]()
In one of their more astute moves, the CW has decided to end its airing of "Smackdown" Sept. 12,
2008.
http://www.mediaweek.com
I figure someone else will quickly pick up "Smackdown" soon as possible, & it won't miss a week of air time. I figure
it'll outlast the CW!
It seems like The CW is targeting teenage girls and early 20-something girls, so "Smackdown" definately doesn't fit with that.
I do think that the target audience isn't exactly flocking to the network and some major changes need to happen with programming
at The CW. Heck, right down to the look of the network it's bad. That hideous logo and odd color scheme to the promo's
just looks rinky-dink low budget. If you're targeting young people, looking retro-cheese isn't exactly a good move...!
You're right about "Smackdown" being picked up elsewhere - I'm sure it won't miss a week.
![]()
This info pertains to you stating "Bionic Woman" is cancelled:
Due to a strike by the Writers Guild of America, production of the series was halted in mid-November 2007, and the
regular actors have been suspended on half-pay for a period of five weeks. The series has since aired all of the
episodes that were completed before production halted. Some sites rumored NBC had canceled the show but a NBC Universal
Media Studios spokesperson told the press that the show has not been cancelled and that production will continue when the
WGA strike ends.
Thanks Matt. There are 5 shows that are still on order and have yet to be completed due to the WGA strike. Those shows
will likely air, but most likely that will be it. If somehow they air and the show becomes a hit, then it would get another order, but going
by the previously aired show, that's not likely to happen.

Are there more canceled show announcements coming or is everything not listed staying on? I thought there would be more
announcements by now.
The networks are keeping quiet about their schedules right now due to the writers strike. Shows that are currently "on hiatus"
that likely would have been cancelled might be brought back just to fill time. They are getting desperate for content and there
are shows that might be able to pick up an audience, since people weren't watching the first time that they ran. When the strike
is over I would expect a bunch of shows to enter TV Hell...
![]()
I suppose that "Big Shots" and "Cavemen" are being axed from the ABC schedule right? and what's next
"Pushing Daisies" and of course "Samantha Who?"
"Big Shots" will be back later this month to burn off the remaining episodes, but that should be it. "Cavemen" is "on hiatus",
but since ratings were not good and critics panned it, my guess is that it's a gonnere, but that hasn't been confirmend yet.
"Pushing Daisies" is set to return as is "Samantha Who?" after the writers strike.

Has K-Ville been cancelled? And what about Cane? I love the guys on K-Ville and Cane is just a guilty pleasure for

"K-Ville" (short for "Katrinaville") is currently "on hiatus". An interesting concept for a show to take on what happened
to New Orleans and ultimately keeping the devistated city in the public eye. The show didn't get very good ratings, and the writers
strike effected it. No word what Fox is ultimately going to do, but it's not looking good. "Cane" is set to return once the
writers get back to work...
![]()
Hello, Happy 2008! also it looks like Donald Trump's reality series "The Apprentice" is not really
cancelled after all so NBC TV gave it another chance by airing it this time with celebrities in it...
And whatever to the shows "Journeyman" "Life" "Chuck" "Big Shots", "Dirty Sexy Money", and especially the remake of "The
Bionic Woman" are they all axed by the networks? and any chance in airing and bringing "Ugly Betty" back to ABC Tv with all
new eppys now that the strike is over?!
"Life", "Chuck", and "Dirty Sexy Money" are all suppposed to return. "Journeyman" and "Bionic Woman" are cancelled. The writers strike is holding up new production
of scripted shows, so that's why shows like "Life" haven't been seen in a while. It's also why unscripted "reality" shows are
being aired in droves. I wouldn't be surprised to see "Ugly Betty" return since in did fairly well and it's unscripted.

What can you hook me up with.
Not much out there - http://www.bittorrent.com has

![]()
NBC mighta given up on "Bionic Woman", even though they say that making the last 5 eps for the 13-ep season will be their
first order of business when the writers' strike is over.
Its ratings have steadily fallen, and once a show's ratings have thus sunk, & the show goes on hiatus, it never gets
those ratings back, so look for BW to not return when all the eps in the can are aired. Gues we won't know for sure
till the strike is over, so fanzz of the show, keep yer fingers crossed!
It's not looking good - it's being widely reported that it's toast. See the link below. Remake shows haven't had good luck other than Battlestar Galactica lately...

Is there anyway to stop the cancellation of this show? It is one of the few that I look forward to every week. I know the
writers strike is going on, but is there any hope of this being able to return at some point after the strike? I hate when
the networks bring on a cool show, then cancel it if it doesnt get the best ratings instead of putting it somewhere else in
a different time slot. How about maybe a different network bringing it on? I'm willing to write as many Emails as it takes
or sending as many snail mails as I have to, or even, dare I say it, sending peanuts to NBC.....pun intended.
There always is a small chance that someone else might pick it up, but I seriously doubt it. It was a ratings problem and
not to do with the writers strike. It can't hurt to send an Email, but most likely this show is toast, unfortunately.

Big Shots (ABC) cancelled? PAZSAZ listed it as cancelled today.
ABC has officially placed "Big Shots" on "hiatus", but looking at it's numbers, specifically the audience drop-off from

ABC would like it to just fade away quietly...

I guess Lifetime's current cop drama series "Blood Ties" is about to be cancelled for good from that
network right? and what's next? "America's Psychic Challenge?!"
And what has happened to all new episodes of two Oxygen shows such as "Snapped" and "Captured" are they still giving all new
eppys or are these two shows could be hitting the axe?
And finally what happened to all of the female voiceovers for "Lifetime" tv network? have they been replaced by male
voiceovers?
"America's Psychic Challenge" is on hiatus from what I can find, but it's supposed to return. "Snapped" and "Captured"
are both returning shows ("Captured" is new this Thursday 12/13). No word on why the imaging / V.O. change on Lifetime, but
it's probably something small. Lifetime's target audience is women, specifically Moms, so they probably feel that a male
voice works better on that specific demographic.
![]()
I think Blood Ties on Lifetime has been cancelled.
They are being sketchy about this, but I think that it's a safe bet to say that it's been cancelled. It's not a Lifetime

I was curious about the new shows. I can't get any ratings or feedback on the net. Can you tell me what shows are most
likely to get cancelled based on order size or lower ratings?
Well, looking at the most recent ratings, on the major networks, the shows that aren't posting well are: "Journeyman",
"The Singing Bee", "Life", and "Friday Night Lights" on NBC. "Cane", and "Moonlight" on CBS, "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers" on ABC,
"K-Ville", "Til Death", and "Next Great American Band" on FOX. The CW and MY TV Networks are harder to look at because the
numbers for their shows are all pretty small in comparrison. None of these shows are tanking horribly, but I would say that any of
them could be considered "on the bubble". The way to see how a show is performing is not only the ratings number
(or "share"), but how it either retains or builds on their audience from the show before it and after it. For example, "Prison Break"
on Fox over a 4 week period had an average of a 3 share (18-49 year olds) and "K-Ville" which follows it averaged a 2 share in
the same demographic. That means people who were tuned into Fox left, so it didn't hold the audience from the lead-in and
that's never a good sign. A lot of times the network will move a show that isn't performing to see if it would be a better
fit next to a different show (if they believe in the show), but then if it still can't build, retain or hold an audience, it's
gone.

Hey, I'm trying to remember the name/details of a cancelled fantasy TV series around 1991-1992. It was silly with bad
acting, but it bothers me that I can't recall the name. BTW, I'm not thinking of "Wizards and Warriors".
Thanks.
Fantasy like sci-fi or like "Zena"?

The Rerun Show (NBC)
I remember that show - a really odd one. Thanks!

I can see the CBS new fall series with Hugh Jackman called "Viva Laughlin" has gotten the axe after only two episodes and
it looks like it will not be back at all right?
And A&E's reality series "Dog The Bounty Hunter" has been cancelled after 4 seasons as well and the Saturday edition of
"Dateline NBC" hasn't arrived yet but it will be on by the middle of this month if that show is not on Hollywood Strike
right? What is next to be canned from the air "Pushing Daisies?"
"Viva Laughlin" is definately gone for good and "Dog The Bounty Hunter" is gone from A&E, but I wouldn't be too surprised
if it didn't return on another network at some point, but that's just a guess on my part. "Pushing Daisies" is going to be
around for a while. It's doing OK ratings wise and has a full season order from ABC.

I can see why she ended her own show - Paula Abdul has ben getting slammed in the tabloids, being called a nut, so
no need to feed that monster with a show like this.

TV Guide.com says Heroes: Origins has been cancelled and that Dog the Bounty Hunter has been axed
for his racial comments...
I don't think that I should list the Heroes spinoff only because it never actually aired. I wouldn't be surprised if "Dog" returns down the road - like Imus.

I just looked over your list of cancelled shows and I was trying to remember a show that was on a few years ago (5 or 6).
It had two main characters playing cops who busted supernatural creatures. One was a smoking hot blonde. Their stoolie was
a midget alien of some sort and I believe the name of the show had a very short title. Probably an acronym. Any idea of
which show I'm thinking of?
This series was called "Special Unit 2" and aired on UPN April '01 - Feb '02.
Thanks! I completely forgot about that one!

Are you sure that #621 shouldn't be Viva La Bam? Maybe its a

Thanks! Good Catch.

Hi There, You might want to add this one...
I wouldn't expect "Cavemen" to be around too much longer, and almost everything on The CW should be axed...!
![]()
I see where CBS canceled the Hugh Jackman show Viva Laughlin after only 2 airings.
Remakes of British shows either do very well, or totally bomb in the U.S. This really didn't work on sooo many levels.
![]()
Looks like Viva Laughlin is the first scripted program of the new season to get axed, and only after
2 episodes.
Thanks for the link! It should have been cancelled for the acting alone! I saw about 15 minutes of the second show
and that was all that I needed...!

It seems that Viva Laughlin has been cancelled after just two airings. It was a CBS show?
CBS is starting to look like The CW these days...!

Thanks! It looks like it's a production contract being awarded to "4 Kids" to supply The CW with most of the same shows.
A cost cutting move so the network doesn't have to do anything but basically slap a tape in...
![]()
Loox as if the CW has cancelled "Online nation". But they're replacing it with reruns of "Aliens In America".
What a novel idea...replacing a dud with a dud. But the CW has little else to offer. Wouldn't be surprised to see the
whole mess fold in less than 2 years.
Yeah, there sure isn't much that I find even decent on The CW. Even the imaging (look) is bad...

I have a question concerning a TV show. Back in August of this year, a show was supposed to air on
the TV Land channel called High School Reunion. The show had previously aired on the defunct WB channel, but it was
cancelled a couple years back. I was wondering if you have any info on this show? Cause I don't think it has aired yet, and
I wasn't sure if it was pushed back, or what was going on.
It looks like it will be returning later this year or in early '08:

They did reveal Mr. Big's name in the last episode of "Sex in the City", his first name is John.

![]()
As reported by tvseriesfinale.com:
The Showbiz Show with David Spade debuted on September 17, 2005 and aired weekly on Comedy Central. Inspired by Spade's
Hollywood Minute segments on Saturday Night Live, The Showbiz Show was initially conceived as a five-nights-a-week series
entitled Gone Hollywood. Stand-up comic Greg Giraldo was the host, with Spade serving as executive producer. After seeing
the pilot, Comedy Central asked Spade to step in and host the series. Spade agreed with the condition that it be a weekly
program.
The Showbiz Show averaged approximately one million viewers for each of its three seasons but Comedy Central has now pulled
the plug. Production on the third season ended in June with the final episode airing on June 29, 2007.
David Spade's plate is pretty full these days, so I'm sure that part of the problem was just Spade's availability...
![]()
Are the cops on that show real???????????? And did they ever say what Mr. Bigs real name was on Sex
in the City????????
"Reno 911" is a spoof on "Cops" and you can bet that the cops are not real. I don't think the identity of "Mr. Big" was revealed
on "Sex and the City", but they might reveal it in the upcoming movie...

Hi, I love the site. Thanks for all your hard work. Is that show "The Winner" on fox canned yet? The
same guy that made family guy was in it.
This show was given a big push by Fox, but it never took off. Seth MacFarlane wasn't in the show, but he was the Executive Producer.
Rob Corddry from "The Daily Show" was the star. It only lasted five episodes. thanks for the kind words about the site!
![]()
Do you know if the shows "Side Order of Life", "Army Wives" and the other show about the shrinks on
the same channel are going to be coming back?
"Side Order of Life" and "Army Wives" are both going to return by early 2008. If you are talking about "State of Mind",
it is supposed to return as well, but I don't have a definate date for that. Lifetime is pretty quiet about cancellations, so
it's hard to get an absolute yes or no on their shows sometimes.
![]()
What happened to the other host? I didnt even know they were changing....I guess that it just how it
goes.
NBC says that Caroline Rhea, who hosted the show's first three seasons, left to work on "other projects". They brought in
Alison Sweeney from the NBC soap "Days of Our Lives" to fill her spot.

First victim of the season. Nashville bites the dust.
Thanks for the link!
![]()
Fox has removed "Nashville" from its sked, effective immediately. However, they were quick to say
it's not CANCELLED, that it WILL return, prolly on into October. Get serious, Fox! Ya KNOW you're NOT gonna bring back a
show that barely had 2 million viewers per ep, and a 0.9 rating among adults ages 18-49...except as a filler for another
flop. But I ask...Why replace a flop with a bigger proven flop? No "official" word it's toast...but let's face reality.
I guess it's not easy to admit failure over at Fox... You're right, my bet is that the show is toast.
![]()
Do you know what happened to this show. I was recording it weekly on Tivo and then it just wasn't
on anymore. I never heard that it was canceled and it never had a season finale. Thanks!
MTV is kind of the "TV Ghetto" of sorts. Shows are done on the cheap and come and go quickly. "Dancelife" (The J-Lo Show)
was supposed to return with a new season this summer, but just never showed up. My best guess is that it will return at
some point, but being MTV, who knows... Sorry that I don't have a real answer for you.
![]()
I was wondering if you know whether or not USA network will be continuing the series "The 4400", for a
5th season? And if "Kyle XY" will come back in the summer for another season?
Kyle XY will be back in January '08 to finish up this season, and while it hasn't been officially announced - I'd expect it to
be back for another new season in the summer because it's doing pretty well. No word from USA on "The 4400" returning for a fifth
seasone - that won't be known until the end of the 4th season.
![]()
Do you have any info on where I can watch complete episodes of cancelled TV Shows?
The show I am looking for is Killer Instinct on FOX on Fridays. I loved the show, but I didn't see all of the episodes
BEFORE FOX did their usual and cut it.
I don't think that "Killer Instinct" is anywhere on the web. Sometimes Fox will ahow the remaining episodes of shows (usually
if it was a cliffhanger or "reality" show) on their website, but there was only one un-aired episode of "Killer Instinct" and
it wasn't a second part or anything like that.
![]()
There's a good chance that "The Bachelor" will return this fall on Monday Nights on ABC and maybe
instead of host Chris Harrison it'll carry another male host or a female host on that show. "Dancing With The Stars" will
return this fall also and it'll have the same hosts, but what will the new stars be like?
I don't know who will be on "Dancing With The Stars" yet, and probably the first people to know that will be "Zap2it.com". They
deal more with current show happenings than we do. Our "Forum" is also a good place to ask that kind of info.

Another horrible reality show on Fox, "Anchorwoman", was cancelled after two back-to-back eps were run Wednesday
with minamal sampling. I watched about 10 minutes of the premiere & then turned the TV back to a more-interesting test

get overpaid to show it!

The Nine aired last night...back from the dead? What about Standoff? It was on hiatus, came back to
Fri. nights for several episodes and it's off again?
This is the time of year - the slow season - when the networks bring back the unaired remaining episodes of cancelled shows.
"The Nine" and "Standoff" are not really back, it's just that the networks have time to fill and those remaining episodes are
already paid for...

I noticed MSNBC removed Scarborough Country from their primetime lineup. Was the news program cancelled?
Nope. MSNBC has moved him to mornings as "The Morning Joe". He took over for Imus, who was fired for a racial comment.
Scarborough hasn't been named as a permanant replacement for Imus, so it may or may not be just a temporary fix.

I have not found a show that was showing on the Sci Fi channel last year. It is a up dated version of
one I watched when I was a kid. It is titled Doctor Who. If you have any info it would be nice if you let me know.
Thank you, Scott Glenn.
The new "Dr. Who" will be going into it's last season this year due to the creator / writer wanting to move on. It's a BBC
produced show that is still airing in prime time in the UK, but I'm not sure when / if it is still on Sci-Fi.
![]()
Obviously, HBO didn't cancel it, the writer/producer simply ended the series, but shouldn't the
Sopranos be on your list? What did you think of the ending?
I had to think about the ending to make a call. At first I kind of thought that it was a cop-out to not wrap things up
neatly, but after some reflection I think that it stayed with the theme of the show in that it was unexpected. It definately
leaves room for a future movie as well. Still, it's not how I would have chosen to end the show, but since The Sopranos have
always left the audience guessing after each season, this was right in line. I'm not sure how I would have ended it myself,
so this works.
![]()
The Sopranos aired its last episode on Sunday night (June 10).
It's final airing gave HBO a bigger audience than any of the broadcast networks had at that timeslot. It killed the
Tony Awards...

I suppose whether or not CBS's longest running daytime game show "The Price Is Right" is soon gonna be leaving that number one network for good or will it stay on that same network for a few more years and is long time host Bob Barker really retiring from that show if so? who will be his replacement?
CBS is saying that they will find a replacement host for The Price is Right, but they haven't announced who it will be yet.
That show really was tied to Bob Barker, so I don't know how well it will be received with a new host.

I suppose "Big Day" is not doing so well, so now it is being canned from
ABC-TV and of course Will "According To Jim" return soon?
And Court TV's "Catherine Crier Live" is gone for good and also gone for good are
"Jericho" after only one season and "Veronica Mars" after only three
seasons and of "Close To Home" after only two seasons.
After this summer's live telecast of "Miss Teen USA Pageant" for 2007, I suppose that NBC is dropping that live event for
good or will it be picked up by another network right?
"According to Jim" will likely return this summer to burn off any unaired shows. I don't have any info on the Miss Teen USA
Pagent", but I know that it didn't perform well. It may end up on NBC co-owned "Bravo", but that's just a guess.
![]()
I saw you put it on your cacnelled list but according to this guy its
getting one more season:
A very good source has told me that "According to Jim" is finished due to a ratings decline and high salaries,
what usually kills off shows after they've been on for a long time. "Jim" was never a ratings powerhous, but it performed
well enough until this past season where show to show it lost viewers.

I get my info mainly from the rumor mill and from readers, then I check my sources to what's for real.
Some sources are obvious ones like "Variety" Magazine and other trade publications, and other sources are people that I know
in the biz. That's why it might take a day longer sometimes for something to turn up in TV Hell, because I really try and fact
check multiple sources, etc. Thanks for the link and the kind words!

I just saw a commercial for Studio 60 that they will be airing 5 or 6 new episodes. Are they new or
just episodes they taped as part of the original 13? Just trying to figure out if the show is being given a second chance.

They were episodes that were left over from the original run. "Studio 60" is no longer in production, so no chance of it
returning in the fall. Thanks for the kind words!
![]()
I just read that trading spouses has been cancelled. Look into it and post if confirmed.
It's not on the FOX fall schedule, but FOX still hasn't cancelled it. There is still a chance that it could come back as a mid-season
replacement - but my best guess is that it's done. I'll add it when the axe falls... Thanks!
![]()
When you list cancelled shows you rarely ever comment on them. But for War at Home you said that it
was painfully bad. I thought it was very funny and much better than most sitcoms.
That show just went right through me, worse than the unimaginative typical sit-com that has a fat not-so-bright New York
guy married to an attractive witty and smart woman with B-characters that include quirky in-laws and bratty kids. Now those
shows are the worst...

Just wanted to let you know, and you may be already aware that #748
Passions, has been picked up by DirecTv channel 101.
It was cancelled by network TV due to low ratings and high production (relative) costs. It apparently does well in Canada

trusty old rabbit ears method. Tough call on considering it cancelled, but since most people can't see it anymore...

I suppose Donald Trump's NBC Reality show "The Apprentice" got himself the axe after a lot of years
and it's not ever coming back right, not even next fall or early 2008 right, and "Crossing Jordan" is ending its
long six season run on NBC also the ABC show "What About Brian?" is not coming back right, and all other shows too..
And after this week's 2 hour season finale of "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" there is no women tell all or after
the final shows is there? And what's next to cancel or return next fall, "Maury" or even "Oprah?" "Maury" isn't doing so well, but "Oprah" is still tops and won't be going away until she decides to quit. As far as I know, "Crossing Jordan", "What About Brian", and Trump's show are done for good.

What is the story with Scrubs? Will it be back next year?
"Scrubs" is "on the bubble". It's a costly show for NBC because of the salaries now involved, but ratings are favorable.
According to Variety, they are leaning on the show being axed in favor of saving "30 Rock", which NBC feels has more life left in
it than "Scrubs", which is at the end of its sixth season. My best guess is that it has one good season left, and even if NBC
drops the show, somebody else will pick it up.
